• Transmits on 406 MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT) with your registered, digitally-coded security alert; covertly alerting rescue and police authorities that your vessel's security has been compromised.

• GPS Interface (NMEA 0183) downloads LAT/LON from the Vessel's on board GPS every 20 minutes as allowed; upon activation GPS coordinates accompany the 406 MHz signal reducing the time it takes the proper authorities to locate your position.

• GPS position is accurate to 100 m (110 yds), optimum allowed by COSPAS-SARSAT.

• Patented proprietary electronics package provides greater frequency stability for most accurate position through the LEOSAR satellites.

• Full functional self test checks internal circuitry, battery voltage, confirms GPS data.

• Cross Dipole Right Hand Circular Polarized antenna provides optimal signal strength.

• In-line waterproof connectors protects the integrity of the beacon from electrical failures due to moisture.

• Easily concealed in any indoor location. Dark color prevent detection, no visible indicators of transmission.

• Bracket with wiring bus is easy to install and service.

• Self Contained single long-life battery; power, no on board hook up required, locate anywhere convenient.

• Class 1 battery for colder temperature operation; minimum 48 hrs @ -25°C (-13°F), can last up to 72 hours in more temperate conditions; 5 year replacement life.

• The Thunderbird™ SSAS must be programmed with the ships MMSI number prior to installation.
