Featured Story: Foster Stanback

Except for the cold, the evening was perfect for a quick ride over to Catalina Island to dive for lobsters. We were all wearing ski clothes, which kept us warm in the 38-degree air. The water temperature was a chilly 58-degrees, but we would be using thick wetsuits during the dive. I was with my three friends Robert Welch, Tony Kettering, and Greg Cullen. Clear skies and a nearly full moon allowed us to actually see our destination from the starting point at Newport Harbor.
