The Artex ELT to NAV Interface is designed to be connected between the aircraft's Flight Management Computer (FMC) or GPS receiver and the 406 MHz series of ELTs (G406-4, C406-1, C406-2, C406-1 HM, C406-2 HM) to allow transmission of position data with the distress signal.
The Artex ELT to NAV-B Interface is designed to be connected between the aircraft's Flight Management Computer (FMC) or GPS receiver and the B406-4 (Boeing) ELT to allow transmission of position data with the distress signal.
Many of the existing TSO C91a installations with Joliet, Pointer and Narco 121.5 MHz ELTs utilize only 2 wires between the cockpit remote switch and the ELT. Other manufacturers of 121.5 MHz ELTs use 3 or 4 wires. The Artex 2-Wire Remote Interface uses just 2 of the existing wires from the wiring harness to connect the new cockpit remote switch to an Artex 406 MHz ELT for a simplified, cost-efficient upgrade.
The Artex DGL-1 programming dongle allows the operator to easily program aircraft 24-bit (Standard Message Protocol) address into a compatible ELT.
The ETS ELT Test Set is a rugged and waterproof handheld device to read the transmitted code of a 406 Mhz Cospas-Sarsat ELT. The beacon ID and all encoded data is displayed on the reader. The data is saved to a database, and is time-stamped.
The TPS Connector Removal Tool helps to unplug even the most awkwardly located connectors to allow for quick ELT (C406-1, C406-2, C406-1 HM and C406-2 HM) removal for maintenance.

Artex ME406 Series ELTs are designed such that multiple protocols can be selected and changed in the field. The ME406 ELT Reprogramming Adapter is a product support device used to reprogram ME406 ELTs from non-location (short message) protocols to location (long message) protocols prior to installing the ME-183 Navigation Interface.
When reprogramming an ELT, pertinent information from the original protocol message is incorporated into the new protocol message, maintaining Cospas/Sarsat requirements. The Reprogramming Adapter verifies the new protocol programming as part of the reprogramming operation. After successful completion of the reprogramming operation, the owner must re-register the ELT with the appropriate registration authority.
The Artex Programming Adapter PA is an optional accessory for the C406-N series of ELTs and will automatically reprogram a C406-N ELT overwriting previously stored data for efficient fleet maintenance.
Test your 406 MHz Emergency Locator Transmitter through the Cospas-Sarsat Satellite System to ensure the ELT is working properly and the installation has been completed correctly. Visit 406Test.com
