The SARLink™ View takes PLB technology one step further with its
breakthrough digital display. In an emergency, the high-visibility
screen provides automatic prompts for optimizing the beacon and
confirms critical data such as your exact GPS coordinates, data
bursts and remaining battery power. Additional functionality
allows the user to test and view GPS coordinates multiple times
with minimal impact on useful battery life.
Calm in the Storm
The SARLink™ View's digital display provides a measure of calm in
an emergency, displaying critical data so that you know the beacon
is working to summon help.
Increase the functionality of your SARLink View with optional 406Link.com non-emergency
messaging service.
In a life threatening situation the ACR Electronics Sarlink View 406 Personal Locator Beacon by ACR did exactly what it was suposed to do, it called for help and potently saved two lives. the price is so worth it if it saves your life.
This, like my other ACR products, is well engineered and a "required" piece of gear in my personal survival bag. I fly all over Pennsylvania and it goes with me along me. The Cessna I fly still has a 121.5 ELT, so this 406 MHz PLB just makes commonsense. [...] You only need to use this during an emergency. Press the button and SAR is still notified! One a bit more up front, but you get the same basic result..... a RESCUE!
Great item to get if you wanna go for hiking and just have a long paddle of kayaking. I would recommend this to a friend.
This is built very well and easy to use. I have worked Citation Avionics for 10 years and have seen several ELT's and know a good product like this is worth it. Several of us at the shop pitched in and bought this for a friend who left to go fly in Alaska.
I spend a Lot of time alone in the back country of Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Indeed a PLB that I can depend on to work perfectly when I need it because my life depends omit. So far, after one year of use my Sarlink Vue fills the bill. I've sent scores of test messages and every single one of them was received by the parties who "have my back" when I'm out adventuring. This replaced a personal "messenger" which failed more times than it worked. With the Sarlink view you know unequivocally that your signal has been transmitted. I'm definitely going to take a look at the new Resqlink when it becomes available as ACR is the industry standard and I'm always looking to drop a few ounces from my pack.

Q: Whats the difference between the AquaLink models and the SARLink Models?
The quick answer is flotation.
The AquaLink and AquaLink View Personal Locator Beacons are buoyant so you can retrieve them should you ever accidentally drop them in the ocean, lake or in a river.
The SARLink and SARLink View Personal Locator Beacons have a slimmed down back case to make them slightly smaller but these models will not float.
Q: What do PLBs do?
Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) are distress radio beacons which transmit location information about individuals directly to Search and Rescue forces letting them know that the owner is in grave and imminent danger.
Q: Where can I purchase a beacon?
Visit our Where To Buy dealer locator
Q: Can 406 MHz beacons be used anywhere in the world?
Yes, 406 MHz beacons can be used anywhere in the world, including the Poles.
Q: Is there a subscription fee for beacon registration or rescue service?
Beacon registration is free, should you ever have to activate your beacon, rescue is free in most parts of the world.
Q: When do you use a Beacon?
Most Search-and-Rescue (SAR) organizations instruct that beacons are satellite signaling devices of last resort, for use when all other means of self-rescue have been exhausted, where the situation is grave with imminent danger and the loss of life, limb, eyesight or valuable property will occur without assistance.
